The Basics
My name is Marcus, owner of Mid State AG in central Indiana. Working with local farmers over the past thirteen years, I’ve had the pleasure of observing different styles of operations and witnessing the common challenges those operations face. When analyzing those challenges, one aspect usually determines the outcome, customer service. I founded MSA with a vision that we could do service differently and be a true asset to our growers.
Our Story
I was born in Elwood, Indiana but spent my childhood ten miles west in Tipton where I met my wife. Born in Peoria, Illinois my wife relocated to Tipton at the age of two. After spending our childhood in Tipton, we settled down in a small house in the center of town. In 2014, her and I got married and moved to a white farmhouse about ten minutes outside of town. The following four years, we welcomed our son (age 6) and daughter (age 4) into this world. The two greatest blessings any parent could ask for, and our why for everything we do.
Bleed Green
To say that the Pioneer roots run deep in this family would be an understatement. My father started working in the production plant in 1981. My mother was hired in 2001 as a sign production lead which allowed both of my sisters to eventually become summer interns. If you’ve had a pioneer field sign up in the past 20 years, my family was a part of it! My wife began her career in the sign production department in 2008. She now serves as a Sales Support Supervisor as well as being actively involved at Mid State Ag. Before my time with Pioneer, I served as the Irrigation Sales Manager for Reynolds Farm Equipment. For the past four seasons, I have dedicated myself to serving the farmers of Tipton, Madison, Howard, and Clinton counties and representing what should be expected when working with an independent Pioneer agency.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple, to redefine the relationship between supplier and consumer by continuously building on the foundation of better service and providing industry leading products at a competitive price. We are excited, and ready to serve the American Farmers of Tipton, Howard, Clinton, Cass, and Miami counties. Let’s get to work!
